New National Whistleblowing Standards came into force in Scotland this year, making it compulsory for all NHS service providers in the region, including community pharmacies, to comply with the Standards.

The NPA has produced resources to support Scottish members to comply with the new National Whistleblowing Standards.

The NPA Whistleblowing Guidance, template Whistleblowing Policy and template Whistleblowing Standard Operating Procedure are available to NPA members to download and adapt for their own pharmacy’s specific procedures.

The NPA Whistleblowing Guidance helps NPA members review their Whistleblowing procedures to ensure compliance with the new Scottish National Whistleblowing Standards.

We have also included a template report form which ensures information required for NHS records is captured.

For more information read the National Whistleblowing Standards at https://inwo.spso.org.uk/download

Download the Scotland Whistleblowing resources here. For further support you can contact NPA's Pharmacy Services team on 01727891800 or by email at [email protected]
