NPA Insurance (NPAI) have announced the launch of a cyber-security product for NPA members
Working alongside the CPP Group, a global financial and insurance services company, NPAI will now offer a product which protects members and their pharmacies from cyber related crime.
Julie Dawson, Business Development Manager at NPA Insurance, said: “One of our key roles at NPA Insurance is to scrutinise the evolving environment in which community pharmacy operates, to identify emerging risks, and to offer flexible protection solutions to help our members to mitigate their exposure.
“Cyber-crime is a global concern for all businesses and individuals. This vulnerability has intensified for community pharmacy as we have seen the role of technology become more intrinsic in day to day operations. One of the greatest cyber related risks to our members is the threat of business interruption – and this has never been more significant than during the pandemic, when it has been imperative that pharmacies have been able to stay open to provide vital services to their patients.
